We evaluate products against the environment they were built for: real-world professional workflows. Where objective specifications and independent benchmark data exist (e.g., performance figures, battery life, pricing history), we cite and synthesize them. Where judgement is subjective (e.g., keyboard tactile feel, software UI ergonomics), we say so and lean on aggregated user consensus.
Scores reflect value at street price, not MSRP. An overpriced premium product will score below a fairly-priced competitor that delivers 90% of the capability.
Tech moves fast. When software updates drop or hardware prices shift dramatically, we re-evaluate scores and update article timestamps.
Our recommendations are based on research rather than in-house physical testing. For each article we draw on primary sources — manufacturer specifications and official documentation — alongside independent expert reviews, published benchmarks, pricing history, and aggregated feedback from real developers and long-term owners.
We use AI tools to help gather and organize this research and to draft copy. Every article is then reviewed and edited by a person for accuracy before it is published; we do not publish raw, unchecked AI output. Where a specification or figure is manufacturer-stated rather than independently verified, we present it as such.

Rather than quietly editing the record, articles with significant corrections carry an explicit timestamped note detailing what was corrected, when it was changed, and why.
