Use 1080 px wide. Feed portrait (default): 1080 × 1350 px (4:5); Feed square: 1080 × 1080 px (1:1); Feed tall (grid-native): 1080 × 1440 px (3:4).
What size is an Instagram story or Reel cover?
Stories and Reels are vertical 9:16. Story / Reel cover: 1080 × 1920 px (9:16).
What size is a Pinterest pin?
Pins are tall 2:3 images. Standard pin: 1000 × 1500 px (2:3).
What size is a YouTube thumbnail?
Thumbnails are 16:9. Thumbnail: 1280 × 720 px (16:9).
Why do some sizes say "common practice"?
Sizes marked verified match a current published platform guide. The others are widely used values that platforms do not publish clearly, so check them against the platform before an important campaign.
Can I make an image at any of these sizes for free?
Yes. Every row has an "Open in Studio" button that starts a blank design at that exact size in Postcraft Studio, which is free and runs in your browser.

“Verified” sizes follow a current published platform guide; “common practice” sizes are widely used where platforms publish nothing clear. Platforms change sizes from time to time, so check their own help pages before a big campaign.
