About this tool

GitHub Actions runs your CI/CD workflows, but the YAML can be fiddly to write by hand. This visual builder generates a production-ready workflow file (.github/workflows/ci.yml): you configure the triggers (push, pull request), a build matrix across multiple language versions, the runtime (Node, Python, Go, Rust) and dependency caching, and it outputs valid YAML.

Getting the indentation, job structure and action versions right is where hand-written workflows fail, and a broken workflow only surfaces when a push does not run as expected. Generating from a visual configuration produces valid YAML with sensible defaults, including caching that speeds up runs.

It runs in your browser, so it is instant. Use it to set up CI for a new project, add a test matrix, or learn the workflow syntax by seeing how choices map to YAML.

Frequently asked questions

What does the generated workflow include?
Triggers for push and pull requests, a multi-version build matrix, a runtime setup (Node, Python, Go or Rust) and dependency caching, output as a valid ci.yml.
What is a build matrix?
A way to run the same job across several configurations — for example multiple language versions — so you test compatibility in parallel.
Why does dependency caching matter?
Caching dependencies between runs avoids re-downloading them every time, which noticeably speeds up CI. The generator includes it by default.
Is it done locally?
Yes. The YAML is generated in your browser with nothing uploaded.
