Client-side image color quantization that extracts dominant tones and complementary accent swatches with WCAG AA and AAA accessibility contrast ratings against white and black.
Runs entirely in your browser
Pull the key colours out of a photo. This extractor analyses an image in your browser, quantising its pixels to find the dominant tones and a set of complementary accent swatches, and — usefully for design work — rates each colour’s WCAG AA and AAA contrast against both white and black text.
That makes it more than a colour grabber: it tells you not only which colours a photo contains but whether they can carry text accessibly, which is exactly what you need when building a palette or a UI around an image. You get hex swatches ready to use and an at-a-glance accessibility read on each.
Because the analysis is done client-side by sampling the image on a canvas, the photo is never uploaded — you can extract palettes from private or unpublished images safely. Use it to derive a brand palette from a hero photo, match UI colours to imagery, or find an accent that already lives in a picture.
