About this tool

Resize an image to exact pixel dimensions or scale it proportionally, and convert between JPG, PNG and WebP with a quality setting — all in one place. It is the everyday tool for getting a photo to the size and format a website, form or app expects.

Everything runs in your browser, so the file is never uploaded. A useful side effect of processing locally is that the image’s camera metadata — including any embedded GPS location — is dropped in the exported copy, so a resized photo does not carry your location with it.

Use it to meet an upload size limit, to convert a PNG to a smaller JPG or a modern WebP, or to produce an image at precise dimensions for a layout. Scaling proportionally keeps the aspect ratio so nothing looks stretched.

Frequently asked questions

Can I resize to exact dimensions or keep the ratio?
Both. You can set exact width and height, or scale the image proportionally so its aspect ratio is preserved and it is not distorted.
Which formats can it convert between?
JPG, PNG and WebP, with an adjustable quality setting for the lossy formats so you can balance size against fidelity.
Is my image uploaded?
No. Resizing and conversion happen in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
Does it remove photo metadata?
Yes. Because it re-encodes the image locally, the exported copy drops camera metadata, including any GPS location that was embedded.
What is WebP and should I use it?
WebP is a modern format that usually produces smaller files than JPG or PNG at similar quality, which is good for web use where support is now widespread.
